Are you a keen reader and/or writer of crime/mystery fiction?

Partners in Crime (Sydney) is dedicated to encouraging the writing and reading of crime literature in NSW. We are an organisation of published and emerging writers and passionate readers working together to create a dynamic crime literature culture in NSW. Our meetings are the perfect opportunity for crime appassionati to get together; listen to a crime writer or specialist in the field and ask questions; learn more about what is happening in the publishing industry; meet other writers but most important of all…be inspired.

PICS conducts presentations with crime writers or interesting specialists in a particular field of crime investigation. Since the inaugural meeting of nine pioneering writers and readers on the 27th February, 1994, Partners in Crime (formerly known as Sisters in Crime NSW), has been presenting speakers to a enthusiastic audience every two months. The meeting tradition was kicked off with guest speaker Marele Day who read from her book 'The Disappearance of Madalena Grimaldi', but since then PICS has been graced with the presence of esteemed crime writers Felicity Pulman ('The Janna Mysteries'), Susan Geason ('Wildfire'), Trish Bernard ('Sex is a Deadly Exercise'), Sydney Bauer ('Undertow'), Camilla Nelson ('Crooked') et al, as well as forensic pathologists, Detective Senior Constables, Barristers, Private Investigators, Assistant Police Commissioners for an insight into the real world of crime investigation 101.

So if you're writing a crime novel and looking for inspiration or just can't get enough of crime investigation, then come to a meeting. Everyone is welcome.

It would be a crime not to!
